Based in Toronto, the duo first discovered their unexpected compatibility when they were matched up in a songwriting workshop at Harris Institute. With a combination in audio production and business, The Something Club is an independent endeavor, taking control of their career in the music industry. With Hailey on the lyrics and Shayne producing & engineering, The Something Club looks to the vulnerabilities we all feel, bringing emotion to the dancefloor.
The Something Club is what happens when a dancefloor enthusiast with a background in classical music meets an R&B funk producer in search of a vocalist. Inspired by the likes of Anderson .Paak, Kaytranada, and Dua Lipa, the Toronto-based duo blend jazz, R&B, house, and pop to create a sound that’s emotionally rich and rhythmically infectious.
Their debut single, You're Weird kicks off a series of five singles leading up to their first full-length album - a celebration of individuality, connection, and the kind of joy you can dance to.
